Our island offers an enticing mix of Caribbean beaches, tropical blue waters filled with reefs, lush rainforests and an interesting history. Tourism on the island is low profile compared to many of the other Caribbean destinations; consequently St. Lucia remains not only pristine, but also very relaxed and friendly. • St. Lucian’s speak English, which is the official language, and also a French Creole commonly called patois.
• Same time zone (EST) as the east coast of the USA (Miami/New York) during daylight savings time (approximately April-October) and one hour ahead of the east coast of the USA the remainder of the year.
• The Eastern Caribbean Dollar (EC$) is the official currency, although US Dollars are commonly accepted
